“I grew up on the east coast in a star-shaped glass house in the woods. I’ve had a passion for architecture and interior design, since a young boy. I attribute my keen eye for design to my mother, who has exceptional taste and style. She also has a fondness for contemporary homes and a unique knack for mixing different styles of furniture and decor.
I moved to Los Angeles in 1993 and opened a high fashion boutique on 3rd. Street Promenade in Santa Monica. After years of hard work and dedication, my boutique was chosen “best boutique” and I received “best style” in Los Angeles Magazine, Best of LA issue. I was also honored with the entire style section in the in the Los Angeles magazine, Best of LA issue. The thing that delighted me the most was that they featured the “Celestial ceiling” of the boutique, a recreation of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. This was inspired after my first buying trip to Italy, which my father, being an art history expert and a huge fan of the renaissance period, encouraged. Years of shopping in Paris influenced my 2nd creation a French boudoir boutique on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood. This store was featured several times in TV and magazines.
At 27 I remodeled my first home, a single level mid-century home, built in the 60’s. I moved onto doing a few properties in the Hollywood Hills and on the beach. The “Bali Paradise” was inspired by my love of the Balinese architecture, which incorporates contemporary design, nature and simplicity. Every piece of art and furniture, as well the materials in the home, I hand picked in Bali. I spent two years creating this masterpiece and I was rewarded when it was featured on HGTV. My Mid-Century Dream Home in Palm Springs was one of my favorite projects. This home I truly enjoyed building and features a single-level open design with clean lines, modern finishes, and a turquoise blue mosaic pool.
With my vast travel experience I personally love to combine cutting edge design with art and furniture from all over the world to create a functional space that is both architecturally and aesthetically pleasing.
My proudest And most recent project, Casa Adama, Located in the extremely popular destination, Tulum, Mexico, is where I decided my newest creation would be. I designed and created a 6 bedroom, 6000 square-foot luxury villa in the prestigious Aldea Zama gated community, just before the beach. One if the things i loved about designing this property, is that it can be split into three separate villas, or rented as one entire villa. I Incorporated mainly glass, stone, and wood as the main elements of this home. All of the art, home decor, and furniture I hand selected from Bali, Mexico, and Morocco.
It brings me great joy that people are amazed by this property, and find immense pleasure in staying there. I look forward to doing a new project in either Los Angeles or Tulum this year.
